I have it. But my blood tests said no. I remember when I got it and where I was. I had a rash as well. But who thinks rashes are anything to worry about. I suddenly came down with the worst flu like symptoms ever. It was just not like me to be bed ridden with no reason why.I have taken blood tests for hormones and they were wrong. So blood tests is not the answer always as to what is really wrong. I started going to doctors with joint pain But again blood tests revealed no arthritis. So the final diagnosis was Fibromyalgia. Sometimes I think it is another word for Lyme disease
It has been 7 years since I have been bitten by a tick. I had a rash and I also thinght it was just a rash, never thinking it was a rask (bullseye type) from a tick. Whwn I think back on what had ahoppened to me from them, it is classic Lyme. I had and still have joint pain but back then it was ever joint along with many other symtoms. In which all of the rest of the symtoms followed and still pleague me to this day. I cry everyday wishing that I can get help. I have been to my general practitioner and also an Infectious Disease doctor. I have had 4 Lyme tests which can back negitive and I am trying to seek out a doctor in my area that could help me. Please, if you have had a rash and may think it could be a Lyme tick bite…TAKE A PHOTO of it…it may be the only way a doctor may believe you! It is sad but no one but a few family members or a friend will believe you if you don’t have the proof. ONLY you know how you feel and knows what happened to you.
undiagnosed or misdiagnosed …Female
Carole and Carol,
I would recommend going to a “Lyme literate doctor” in your area. Sounds like you both have lyme disease but may not meet CDC requirements for diagnosis – which doesn’t mean you don’t have it! It would be well-worth your effort!
